A bit about us

The Good Room Adare, County Limerick was founded 12 years ago by Claire Staunton and aims to combine the elements of a café, a bistro and a bakery and put these together in a very luxe, stylish room.

The Good Room is a small, beautiful cafe tucked away in one of Ireland’s prettiest villages. Our motto is simple, uncomplicated food that’s sourced locallly and where possible  cooked and baked in house. Our head chef Keith Pigott is hugely talented and passionate about the food we provide. Our menus are inspired by food that is farmed and foraged which often reflects each season.

The café houses indoor seating for 50, bakery stands, to-go fridges and also has a beautiful outdoor terrace with heaters and blankets.

We are also widely known for our attention to dietary requirements, serving a wide variety of gluten free and vegetarian options. From our bakery stand, we sell baked goods and cakes for all occasions. Our breakfast options include porridge, the traditional full Irish Breakfast, and for the health conscious, we provide a no carb option with avocado, bacon, poached free range eggs and grilled tomato.

Lunch includes various organic salads, or for the hungry our options include gourmet hot sambos, a chorizo and mince burger, or made to order pasta dishes.

We were also the Winner of the Cafe of The Year Munster and  are proudly listed in MCKENNA’S GUIDES 2019.

The idea was a small boutique wine bar with great food. Again all produce is sourced locally with the focus on serving smaller plates of beautiful food. Small enough so you can try several, big enough to share. There is no such thing as starters and mains instead we serve small plates
